Mahatma Gandhi as a Father of Nation :-

The Father of the Nation is an honorific title given to a man considered the driving force behind the establishment of his country, state or nation. In monarchies, the was often considered the “Father of the    Nation” or as a patriarch to guide his family. This concept is expressed in the Divine Right espoused in some monarchies, while in others it is codified into constitutional law as in Spain, where the monarch is considered the personification and embodiment, the symbol of the unity and permanence of the nation. It Thailand , the monarch is given the same recognition, and demonstrated loyalty is enforced with severe criminal statutes.
The title “Father of Nation” is sometimes politically contested. The1972 Constitution of Bangladesh declared Sheikh Mujibar Rahman to be “father of the nation.”
History however holds that the title of the Father of the Nation was given to the Mahatma by netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, who in his address on Singapore Radio on July 6,1944 has addressed Mahatma Gandhi as a Father of the Nation.

The condition of India: Doctors :-

The views I submit to u are those I have adopted. They are not original. Western writers have used stronger terms regarding both lawyers and doctors. One writer has likened the whole modern system to the upas tree. Its branches are represented by parasitical professions, including those of law and medicine, and over the trunk has been raised the axe of true religion. Immorality is the root of the tree. So you will see that the views do not come right out of my mind , but they represent the combined experiences of many. I was at one time a great lover of the medical profession. It was my intention to become a doctor for the sake of the country.

Doctors have almost unhinged us. Sometimes I think that quacks are better than highly qualified doctors. Let us consider: the business of a body, or properly speaking, not even that.

Conclusion

Gandhi himself accepted some of the limitations of his basic formulations given in hind swaraj. This book is not based on a realistic assessment of human nature taking into consideration all human aspirations and desires and frailties. It sounds a little too idealistic for the average man.
